Afflicted but not Defeated; Crushed Yet, I Rise!

How many of you are crushed in spirit? How many of you are waiting on a promise, a prayer to be answered? How many of you are waiting on a touch from God? Running a race that seems to have no finish line in sight? Oh, how difficult that season of waiting can be. A season of enduring (waiting) leads us to a greater level of trust and ultimate surrender. When we follow the Holy Spirit's guidance, we must have a surrendered heart posture and a a willing spirit, that says, "nevertheless, not my will, but Your's, be done."

When the world tries to define you, crush your spirit, limit you, remember who your God is, the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, the God of our precious Lord Jesus Christ. Our God is a mighty sword, a strong tower, a fortress of strength. When we wait, we become weak, which makes us stronger, because we are so dependent on God. Only God can do what He has promised. Only God can deliver me from this affliction. Only God can deliver me out of this season of painful waiting and catapult me into my destiny. Only God, not man, can deliver to me my God-sized dream that He placed in my heart before He formed me in my mother's womb. Only God can....!

Even though you are crushed, even though you are afflicted, you are not defeated, instead you rise, you rise, you rise. You rise because you believe, you rise because you trust, and you rise because your faith will carry you through this difficult season of becoming. Hannah endured, Ruth endured, David endured, Abraham and Sarah endured, and Noah endured. What choice do we have as believers? Our only choice is to endure, to fight the good fight of faith, knowing that God will act on our behalf when the appointed time is here and our crushing season ends. Our lives will be a living testament to Christ.

Christ was obedient unto death, suffered horribly on the Cross, and in His "Olive Press" moment, He endured, overcame, and became the Savior of us all. What will you do in your personal "garden of Gethsemane" moment? Will you choose to stand, to rise, to become, or will you listen to the negative voices of the past, the naysayers of today, the doubters?

This is the year you rise, but do you believe it? Can you hold on, through faith, endure, and inherit the promise? I believe in you,I am praying for you and agreeing with you that in this season of waiting, this season of enduring, you become, you rise, you break forth!

Blessings and Peace,
